Stainless steel watch with fine lever escapement

A split seconds chronograph pocket watch made by Longines in Saint Imier, Switzerland, circa 1945. The numbered open faced case of this watch was crafted from stainless steel. The white enamel dial features Arabic hours, an outer minute track with 1/5th of a second divisions and five minute numerals, a subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock, 30 minute counter at 12 and blued steel hands. The numbered movement is fitted with an extremely fine precision lever escapement and a split seconds chronograph.
The case and movement have matching numbers, and the dial, case and movement are signed.
