A rare Swiss gold and enamel tambourine-form fob watch with musical movement, circa 1820. Bridge movement, key wind, two barrels, cylinder escapement, gilt-brass musical movement with pinned disc and 12 vibrating blades.
The front of the case as well as the back side are painted with a pastoral scene in crimson camaïeu, the band translucent blue and red enamel over engine turned set with small metal jingles and zills. Engine turned translucent cobalt blue enamel dial with radial Roman hours, outer minute dots and Louis XVI hands.
