A Swiss fine, thin Schaffhausen gold enamel gentleman’s pocket watch, circa 1919. Sold to J. B. Kelly, Pittsburgh.
18 carat gold case, the edges ornamented with braid pattern in black enamel, engraved and inlaid enamel monogram, push back. Signed silvered dial with Arabic “Art Deco” numerals, auxiliary second and blued cathedral hands. Bridge movement, chatoned, rhodium-plated, with “Geneva striping” decoration, 6 adj., 21 jewels, gold-chatoned centre wheel, screw compensation balance and index spring fine adjusting device.
