An extraordinary Swiss verge pocket watch with concealed erotic scene, circa 1810. The case is fire gilt and has a hinged back cover that hides the erotic scene with a polychrome enamelled scene. The scene depicts a coastal landscape with two young maidens and a paste-set bezel. The dial is enamel and features Arabic numerals and gold Breguet hands. The movement is a full plate, fire gilt, signed, with a chain/fusee mechanism, moulded movement pillars, a three-arm brass balance, and a pierced balance bridge.
