Silver Seconde Foudroyante pocket watch with a thermometer

A rare Swiss gentleman’s pocket watch with two time zones, quarter jumping seconds Seconde Foudroyante and thermometer, circa 1870. The silver engine-turned case features an engraved monogram AG and a reeded band. The enamel regulator dial displays two time zones with radial Roman hours, a 1/4 seconde foudroyante, jumping centre seconds, and an arched thermometer at 12, which provides temperature indications in Reaumur ranging from -10°C to +40°C. The dial also features blued Breguet hands and bears the signature of Reaumur. The movement is florally engraved and is key-wound, with a Montre-Chinoise Lepine calibre, duplex escapement, and a steel balance with blued steel wings.
