A rare Swiss 18 carat gold and enamel mandolin form watch, circa 1970. A solid case, the sound board with royal red champlevé enamel, gold wreath and blue champlevé enamel sound hole. The neck in alternating red and white enamel straps, the vaulted back with alternating sections of translucent blue and red enamel, gold flowers and scrolls, gold wire strings with gold pegs, gold suspension chain. Matte silver dial with applied yellow gold baton indexes and yellow gold baton hands. Rhodium plated movement, 21 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self compensating flat balance spring. Dial and movement signed.
