A French verge in a silver open faced case, circa 1790. This very unusual watch has a semi-circle the hours are marked from six through twelve and back to six in Arabic numerals, when the hour hand reaches the six then it goes straight to the other side of the dial and goes on from six o’clock, subsidiary dial for date. Keyless movement with round pillars. Pierced and engraved cock with polished steel coqueret, silver regulator disc with blue steel indicator, plain three-arm gold balance with blue steel spiral hairspring. Enamel painted dial, Arabic numerals, gilt hands. Plain open faced case.
