An 18 carat Swiss varicoloured gold and turquoise-set pocket watch made for the Turkish market, made circa 1830.
Two-body, bassine case with fixed back decorated with turquoises and applied varicoloured gold foliage and flowers forming a large rosette, a band with applied floral pattern, front bezel en suite with turquoises and applied flowers.
White enamel dial with Islamic numerals and outer minute divisions. Blued steel spade hands.
Hinged movement with frosted gilt full plate with cylindrical pillars, going barrel, lateral lever escapement, three-arm steel balance with flat balance spring, single-footed cock and an index regulator.
Movement numbered.
