An early English gentlemen’s watch, with multicolored Champlevé gold dial, stop-seconds and Massey escapement by Robert Roskell Liverpool, circa 1842.  An 18 carat gold, reeded mid section, stop seconds device, original dome, very fine English movement with big bimetallic balance, diamond endstone, bridge inscribed “Patent”, main plate signed and numbered, rare lever movement with Massey type II escapement, jewels/bearings so-called “Liverpool Windows”, very decorative gold champlevé dial, rim decorated with three different gold nuances, original dial, in very beautiful condition, in working order.
