A Swiss 18 carat gold hunting cased pocket watch, circa 1880. Retailed by jeweller Bailey Banks & Biddle in Philadelphia, U.S.A. The movement with a lever escapement. White enamel dial with black Roman hours, an outer minute track, outermost Arabic gold five minute numerals, sunk subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and gold Louis XIV hands. The case is monogrammed RJ on the front and HTS on the back. Dial signed by the retailer, case and movement with a matching number.
