A Swiss 18 carat gold, enamel and diamond set hunting cased pocket watch made for the Indian market, circa 1880. The gilded platinum ¾ plate movement with a lever escapement. White enamel dial with Roman hour numerals, outer minute divisions, sunk subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and gilt hands. A scalloped case, the front with gold and diamond set floral and foliage decoration on a black enamel ground, further enhanced with a textured, pierced and engraved floral and foliage border. Dial signed, case numbered, movement signed and numbered, case and movement with matching numbers.
