English gilt metal verge with mock pendulum Circa 1700

An English gilt metal verge pocket watch with mock pendulum, circa 1700. Gilt plate movement engraved with a rural scene to the centre depicting a dog dancing to the flute player, scroll border. Engraved silver dial, Arabic minute track, aperture for mock pendulum, fan-form aperture with rotating disc with Roman numerals for time display, sectors for regulator and power reserve. Later gilt metal case with rotating winding shutter. Dial and movement signed ‘Anderton, London’.
