A Swiss silver and enamel open faced manual wound pocket watch, circa 1920. The movement with a lever escapement. White enamel dial and original hands. The case back with fine polychrome enamel flowers on a translucent turquoise enamelled guilloché ground. Dial signed, movement signed and numbered.

Tavannes Watch Co. was founded in 1891 by watchmaker Henri-Frédéric Sandoz from Le Locle and was named after a town. Sandoz obtained several Swiss patents to improve pocket watches.
