Technikum Cantonal Bienne
Founded in 1890 in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland, the Technicum Cantonal Bienne (Kantonales Technikum Biel) began as a premier bilingual public institution dedicated to horology, precision mechanics, and electrical engineering. It evolved into a cornerstone of Swiss technical education, producing master watchmakers and industrial engineers.
The TCB was integrated into the modern public higher education landscape, ultimately becoming part of the Bern University of Applied Sciences (BFH) (Haute école spécialisée Bernoise), continuing its legacy in microtechnology, engineering and automation.
