Silver and rose gold cylinder watch

A very fine and large French silver and 18 carat rose gold open faced souscription watch made by Breguet in Paris, circa 1800. Sold to General Moreau, the 25 Brumaire an 9 for the sum of FF 600. The movement with a ruby cylinder escapement. White enamel dial with outer Arabic hours, an inner minute track and an original blued hand. The case back is engine turned with a central monogram, a crown above, the bezel pendant and bow are polished. Dial, case and movement numbered, a secret signature below 12. Comes with a certificate from 1989 confirming the date of sale, November 16th, 1800.
