A Swiss 18 carat rose gold hunting cased minute repeating keyless pocket watch made by Dreyfus & Cie in Bienne, circa 1910. The jewelled movement with a lever escapement. White enamel dial with Roman hours, an outer minute track, outermost five minute numerals, sunk subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and gold hands. The engine turned case with a hinged back and cuvette, plain bezels, pendant and bow. Case signed and numbered, cuvette signed.

Dreyfus Frères, Bienne, Switzerland, was founded in 1865 in Biel. The company produced watch movements and cases, often in partnership with Pery Watch Co. They specialized in watches for the Russian market and registered brands like Moskva, Rossi, Volga, etc. In addition, the brand name Roland was registered on November 9th, 1903, possibly for the Union Horlogère Alpina, which had a watch named Roland in its collection.
