Silver quarter repeater with leather and tortoiseshell case

An early, heavy English silver open faced quarter repeating pocket watch with protective case, circa 1710. Full plate engraved fire gilt verge movement, pierced and engraved winged cock, pierced and engraved foot, rare pillars, engraved barrel drum, repeating hours and quarter hours on a bell, silver regulating disc missing. Very beautiful and signed cuvette. Outer case with tortoiseshell to the back, leather-covered to the front, inner case engraved and pierced with fine sound openings. Replaced dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, decorative hands. Movement peripheral signed and numbered,
