A historically interesting English 18 carat gold open faced center seconds key wind pocket watch made by Arnold & Lewis in Manchester, London Hallmarked for 1874. An English lever movement. The cuvette is engraved Presented to Charles Perrn Esq. by the Members of the English and Scotch Traffic Rates Conference and others. As a token of their very high appreciation of his Services as Secretary to that Conference and on his being appointed Treasurer to the Great Western Railway Company of Canada April 1875.

White enamel dial with Roman hours, an outer minute track with fifth of a second divisions and Arabic quarter hour numerals, sunk center, a blued hand for the center seconds and gold spade hands. An engine turned case with plain bezels, pendant and bow, the back with a central, decoratively engraved vacant cartouche. Movement signed and numbered, case numbered and stamped H.S., movement and case with matching numbers. Comes with the original winding key.
