An English 18 carat gold open faced keyless pocket watch with stoppable seconds made by A.J. Biddle in Bristol, Birmingham Hallmarked for 1897. The gilt ¾ plate English lever movement with a cut and compensated bimetallic balance. White enamel dial with Roman hour numerals, an outer minute track with a fifth of a second track calibrated from 0-300, gilt spade hands, and a blued seconds hand. A polished case. Dial and movement signed, case stamped W.E., case and movement with matching numbers.
