Oliv is a quality designation used by A. Lange & Söhne. The brand released these watches under a separate, slightly more affordable label to reach a broader market through third-party retailers. Produced between 1920 and 1930, these watches were technically and mechanically on par with the brand’s standard models and featured the same high quality movements.

Deutsche Uhrenfabrikation, often abbreviated as DUF, is a historical brand and quality designation for pocket watches, introduced in 1878 by the renowned manufacturer A. Lange & Söhne in Glashütte. The brand was founded to offer sturdier, more affordable pocket watches that nevertheless met the high quality standards of Glashütte.
