A very fine, large and heavy German 18 carat rose gold hunting cased anker chronometer in quality 1A made by A. Lange & Söhne in Glashütte, circa 1901.
Sold in 1901 for 583 marks. The glazed ¾ plate movement with a piston tooth lever escapement and large gold screw compensation balance. White enamel dial with Arabic hour numerals, an outer minute track, sunk center, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock and fine hands. A plain case. Dial, case and movement signed, movement and case with matching numbers. Comes with the original certificate.
