A French 18 carat gold quarter repeating pocket watch, circa 1850. Special lever movement, repeating hours and quarter hours, lever and escape wheel with gold chatons. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, sunken subsidiary seconds and blued steel hands, the hour hand original, replaced minute hand. Engine turned case, reeded mid section. Comes with corresponding signets and probably original key as a sign of former nobleman’s possession.
