A very fine and rare French 18K gold open faced cylinder pocket watch with a chatelaine depicting an enamelled nobleman’s escutcheon, circa 1890.
Cylinder movement. White enamel dial with Arabic hours and outer minute dots, rose gold hands. Art Nouveau relief case, the back pierced, open-worked floral ornaments over dark red translucent enamel.
