Blue enamelled watch with star shaped gold inlays

A very fine 20 Carat gold, enamel and pearl set open faced virgule pocket watch with matching chatelaine, circa 1780-1783.
Very flat full plate movement, virgule escapement, extremely rare Lépine calibre.
White enamel dial with Arabic hours and minutes, original gold hands. The case back with translucent dark blue enamel and star shaped gold inlays, both sides set with original halves of Orient pearls, Parisian gold punches, pendant button for the fly-spring mechanism. Dial signed, movement signed and numbered. Comes with a gold chatelaine, watch key and signet also set with Orient pearls, further three ivory cartouches with the finest polychrome enamel scenes.
