A French 18 carat gold and enamel open faced pocket watch with chatelaine, circa 1850. Cylinder escapement. White enamel dial with Roman numerals and filigree Breguet hands. Translucent blue enamel case with applied elaborate gold monogram AL. Comes with corresponding gold and translucent blue enamel chatelaine with same applied monogram as on the watch, four braided strands with enamel medallions, gold and enamel seal pendant and key pendant (missing square). Accompanied by original box, signed Fontana & Cie, Paris.
