Very fine Swiss brass deck chronometer made for British military operation, circa 1943. Ankerchronometer movement, Guillaume balance, fine adjusting device. Gilt dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, blued steel hands. Screwed brass case as well as a silver watch case, British military marking H.S.2 to the back. Dial and movement signed and numbered. Comes with extract from the archives and two part wooden box.
