Three-colour gold open faced verge by Frères Esquivillon & Dechoudens

A very attractive Swiss 18 carat multi-coloured gold and enamel open faced verge pocket watch, circa 1780. Verge movement. White enamel dial with Roman hours, Arabic minutes, original gold poker and beetle hands. The case worked in yellow, rose and green gold, the front half-pearl-set, the back with an oval enamel medallion surrounded by pearls and rare Paillonne enamel in peacock’s eye design. Case numbered, dial signed, movement signed and numbered, case and movement with matching numbers.
