A very fine French 18 carat rose gold open faced quarter repeating à toc verge pocket watch witch matching rose gold chatelaine, circa 1780. Verge movement, repeater à toc, striking the hours and quarter hours. Engine-turned gold dial with Roman hours and outer minute divisions, blued steel Breguet hands. Louis XV case with prominent lateral hinge, the back with raised dots, engine-turned, central a small relief scene with a tree, bird’s nest and flying bird, worked in green and rose gold. Accompanied by an extremely fine 18 carat rose gold chatelaine. Movement signed.
