A rare and exceptionally fine Bavarian bicolour gold pair cased quarter repeating repoussé verge pocket watch, circa 1760. Fine verge movement, the bridge made of silver, repeating the hours and quarter hours. Screwed white enamel dial with Arabic hours and outer minute divisions, later steel hands. Repoussé outer case, grained yellow gold background, polished rose gold relief scene, filigree pierced sound openings, maker’s mark FCL at the rim, the inner case with cartouches and six different floral scenes, also with fine soundholes, bell. Case numbered, movement signed and numbered.
