A very early and rare French 18 carat gold and enamel open faced verge pocket watch with concealed erotic scene, circa 1780. Gilt verge movement. White enamel Louis XV dial, Roman hours and Arabic minutes, very fine hands. Case with Louis XV lateral hinge, the back with an oval polychrome enamel portrait of a woman, both sides set with stones of which some are missing, concealed polychrome enamel erotic scene. Case numbered.
