Silver world time watch with day and night

An extremely rare Swiss silver double-dialled world time pocket watch, Hora-Universa, circa 1900. Lever movement. The front with display of time, display of world time and day and night on the back. The record-breaking number of about 150 cities and islands are visible on the back, among them the most important stations of the Trans-Siberian Railway, each marked with a circle. The lateral crown is used to set the position of the day and night disc, which rotates across this local directory. Case glazed on both sides.

The ‘Hora-Universa’ is certainly one of the rarest world time pocket watches from around 1900. Only a few examples are known.
