A rare and early French 18 carat gold, enamel and stone-set verge pocket watch with concealed erotic scene, circa 1780. Gilt verge movement. White enamel Louis XV dial with Roman hours and Arabic five minutes, very beautiful hands. Case set with stones on both sides, some stones are missing, the back with a polychrome enamel portrait of a lady, an unusual and rare construction, the back lid can be opened with underneath a polychrome enamel erotic scene.
