An English 18 carat gold open faced quarter repeating key wind pocket watch, London Hallmark for 1809. Gilt full plate movement with duplex escapement, cut and compensated bimetallic balance, diamond end stone, two hammers striking on two gongs. Engine turned gilt dial with applied Roman numerals to brushed surround, outer minute divisions, subsidiary seconds at 6 and blued steel spade hands. Engine turned hinged case, small engraved cartouche to back, reeded band, push repeat to stem. Cuvette signed, case stamped LC N and numbered.
