A technical rare English 18 carat gold pair cased hour repeating verge pocket watch with half-hour self strike and alarm, circa 1718-1734. Gold champlevé dial with Roman hours and Arabic minutes, central alarm disc, blued steel hands, self-strike and repeater released by a lever in the rim, alarm on bell, iron hands. Repoussé outer case, the inner case with pierced band, mascaron and mythical creature, bell. Case numbered, cuvette and movement signed and numbered, cuvette and movement with matching numbers.
