A very fine and large French silver open faced quarter repeating musical pocket watch, circa 1817-1824. Highly complicated hourly musical movement, additional repeating of the hours and quarter hours, lever under the bezel to switch off the musical function. White enamel dial with Arabic hours and outer minute divisions, blued steel hands. Decorative case with reeded band, the back finely engine-turned, engraved with Rocailles and blossoms. Case signed and numbered.
