An extremely rare Swiss 18 carat à quatre coleurs gold double-sided automaton, circa 1810. Extraordinary dial decorated with flowers in four different gold colours, probably solid 18 carat gold, hypnotic diamond-set balance, decentralized time indication with Roman numerals and outer minute divisions, the centre engine-turned, plain Breguet hands. Case yellow, rose, white and green gold, relief rim with green leaves on both sides, glazed on both sides, two different automatons, the back with polychrome enamel scene depicting Adam & Eve in paradise surrounded by a snake.
