A historically interesting 14 carat gold hunting cased pocket watch from with rare order engraving, circa 1915. Gilt lever movement. Gilt dial with Arabic hours and outer minute divisions, gold Breguet hands. Plain case, spring lid with engraved nobility coat of arms with crossed swords, back lid with engraving of the order Pour le Merite, below the name Kurt von Heiligenstedt, Major of the Lauenburg Hunter Battalion in the 1st World War. Case numbered. Comes with an old leather case and an extract from the noble family Heiligenstedt family archives.
