A very early and rare English gilt and leather pedometer, circa 1780. White enamel dial with Arabic numerals, miles counter and 12-mile counter, steel hands. Leather-covered case.

Spencer & Perkins in London at Snow Hill 44 existed from 1765 to 1806 and produced not only longcase clocks and pocket watches but also pedometers. They can be found in a similar design in the London Science Museum.
