A very fine Swiss 18 carat gold open faced verge pocket watch, circa 1830. Fire-gilt verge movement. Three-colour gold, engine-turned dial with Roman hours and outer minute divisions, plain, shortened and repaired, gilt hands. Case extremely rare decorated, entirely ornamented with flowers, gold beads and pink stones, the back with octagonal enamel painted plaque depicting The goddess of wine, inner case rim with dedication: Dem Fräulein A.I. Ertel von S.M.A. 1830.
