A very fine, nearly like-new French 18 carat rose gold open faced quarter repeating Lépine cylinder watch with temperature compensation, circa 1830. Extremely fine precision movement, ruby cylinder in the manner of Breguet, temperature compensation, parachute shock absorber, repeating the hours and quarter hours, early bearing stone. Engine-turned dial with Roman hours and outer minute divisions, numbered under the dial, blued steel Breguet hands. Engine-turned case, maker’s mark FLB. Dial signed, case numbered.
