The Cabriers were a French watchmaker family, who had moved to England.
Charles Cabrier 1, the father, was admitted to the Clockmakers Company in 1697/98. In 1717 he took his son, Charles Cabrier Junior, as an apprentice whose training ended in 1726. Charles Cabrier Junior became an outstanding watchmaker and in 1757 he was appointed master of the Clockmakers’ Company. His watches are found in many museums.
