An American/Swiss 18K yellow gold minute repeating hunting cased pocket watch, circa 1880. With split-seconds chronograph and subsidiary seconds dial at 9. The back cover engraved with foliage, chronograph button in the crown, split-seconds button in the band at 2 o’clock. Glazed gold-rimmed cuvette.

White enamel dial with radial Roman numerals, outer minute track and outermost fifths of second divisions with red painted Arabic five minute/seconds numerals, subsidiary seconds at 9 o’clock. Blued steel spade hands. A maillechort movement, Geneva striping decoration, 25 jewels, straight-line calibrated and counterpoised lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide in the band. Dial and movement signed by the retailer.
