A very fine and extremely rare French US Twenty Dollar coin from 1914 fitted with a concealed watch, circa 1930. Rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with eight adjustments, flat blued steel balance spring, index regulator. Matte silver dial with black Roman hours, outer minute divisions and blued steel Breguet hands. The case is a US Twenty Dollar coin with Liberty on one side, the reverse with the lettering United States of America Twenty Dollars In God We Trust, the inscription E Pluribus Unum around the band, hinged cover with catch on the edge, a hinged inner case with polished bezel, the back secured with screws in the band, an engine-turned surround. Dial signed.
