Gold keyless lever coin watch

An extremely rare French 100 Francs gold coin of 1908, fitted with a concealed watch, circa 1930. A 100 Franc coin, Republique Française on one side, the reverse with Liberté, Egalite, Fraternité, the inscription repeated around the edge, hinged cover with catch set with a rectangular cabochon black onyx, hinged inner case with polished bezel, back secured with screws in the band, on an engine-turned surround. Matte silver dial with radial black Roman numerals, outer minute track and blued steel Breguet hands.
A rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 18 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance with eight adjustments, flat blued steel balance spring, index regulator. Dial signed Cartier, movement signed European Watch & Clock Co., Inc., case numbered.
