A very fine and rare Swiss 18 carat gold open faced minute repeating keyless lever pocket watch, circa 1892. Made for Tiffany & Co, New York in 1892. Sold on June 24th, 1893. Rhodium plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 29 jewels, counterpoised straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, repeating on gongs activated by a slide on the band. Gold hinged cuvette. White enamel dial with dauphine numerals, outer minute track and red Arabic five minute numerals, subsidiary seconds with red numerals and original blued steel spade hands. plainPolished case, the back with an applied gold monogram. Dial, case and movement signed Tiffany & Co New York, case numbered. Accompanied by a Tiffany & Co. fitted box and the Extract from the Archives.
