A fine French silver open faced verge oignon watch, circa 1725. Gilt full plate movement, square baluster pillars, fusee and chain, verge escapement, three armed brass balance, short balance spring, pierced silver cock decorated with two seated figures blowing horns amongst foliate strapwork decoration, silver regulation dial with fine pierced silver foliate feet, steel release catch with large foliate terminal. White enamel dial with Roman numerals, outer minute track and Arabic five-minute numerals, winding aperture at 3 and gilt Louis XV hands. Case with engraved foliate and strapwork decoration to the pendant. Movement signed.
