An interesting silver French Oignon with striking mechanism, circa 1725. Full plate  fire gilt movement with pierced and engraved balance cock, silver regulater disc, vase pillars.
Beautiful silver case with sound holes, rim decorated with bird motifs, squirrels, tendrils and flowers, repeating the hours and quarters on bell.
White enamel dial with Roman numerals, steel hands.
