Silver quarter repeater

A French silver open faced quarter repeating verge pocket watch, circa 1725. Fire gilt full plate finished verge movement, pierced and engraved silver balance bridge cock, silver regulator disc, quarter repeating activate by pushing the pendant, repeating on the bell mounted to the interior of the case. Unusual single hammer strike, button at eleven o’clock to mute striking sound.
White enamel dial with black Arabic and Roman numerals, decorative gilt hands. Plain case and decorative bezel, movement signed.
