Gold five minute repeater with striking Jacquemarts by IWC

A fine and very rare Swiss 18 carat gold open faced five minute repeating keyless lever pocket watch with automaton striking Jacquemarts, made in the 1960’s. Rhodium-plated movement, Geneva striping decoration, 17 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, mono-metallic balance, selfcompensating Breguet balance spring, repeating on gongs by depressing lever in the band. Champagne coloured dial with printed Roman numerals, outer minute divisions, set in the centre of a blued plate with mounted tri-colour gold figures of Minerva and Mars on each side striking a bell, Hercules as a child with the snake below, Cherub above the bell and original blued steel feuille hands. Case polished on the back, reeded band. Dial, case and movement signed, case numbered.
