Gold doctor’s chronograph
–
A fine and rare Swiss 18 carat gold open faced keyless lever pocket watch with chronograph, register and pulsations scale, circa 1910. Hinged gold cuvette engraved with Prize Medals. Rhodium-plated movement, ∅ 41 mm, Geneva Striping decoration, 21 jewels, straight-line lever escapement, cut bimetallic compensation balance, blued steel Breguet balance spring, index regulator, visible chronograph work. White enamel dial with black Arabic numerals, outer minutes and fifths of a second track, an outermost red pulsations scale, subsidiary seconds at 6 o’clock, a 30-minute register at 12 and black spade hands. Polished case, an engraved monogram on the back, a co-axial button in the crown for the start/stop and return-to-zero functions of the chronograph. Dial signed, case and cuvette signed, movement numbered. Accompanied by the original fitted presentation box and a Bulletin de Marché.
